Fantastic Offering …. April 23 – Save the Date!!

Fantastic offering of automotive & other signs, plus automotive memorabilia of all types, showcases, cash registers, Coca Cola items, post office teller cages, antiques & more!   This is the type of event that offers a cross section of our past.  Auctions like this are museums that come alive because you have the opportunity to intermingle with the merchandise and the collectors who value it.  There is no charge for admission.  The appraisals that you get every time the auctioneer says sold are free, unless of course you are the winning bidder.  Auctions can be fun & exciting & this one fills the bill.

President’s Day 2016 Auction

Mrs. Hatcher is moving from her home, thus offering a very nice selection of antiques, gold, sterling & costume jewelry, art books featuring drawings of communities & places in SW Ohio, plus nice home furnishings, workshop items & her two automobiles.  It’s on site, so dress for the weather, but it is worth your attendance.

32 Years – 32 OAA Conferences

In mid-January Debra and I attended our 32nd Ohio Auctioneers Conference.  The organization has always planned a conference with a variety of seminars and education, fun auction, trade show, Hall of Fame induction (I was honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013), business meeting and most recently the OAA Auctioneer Championship.  We enjoy seeing and networking with auctioneer friends from around the state.  We have attend the NAA or National Auctioneer Conference and Show every year since 1989.  It is amazing when I think of all the cities we have visited as we traveled to the events that rotate from east to west and north to south across the US.  The first was Cincinnati when I was received my CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute) designation, then Baltimore, Omaha, etc.  Some of  my favorite cities include Boisie, ID; Spokane; WA, San Diego, CA; Madison, WI; Denver, CO; San Antonio, TX and so on.  This year we look forward to going back to Grand Rapids, MI AND in 2017 Ohio will host the national conference in Columbus, OH!!

Auction Time Lapse

There is still a difference in auctioneers & auction companies.

Jerry Stichter, Auctioneer began his career in 1974 & quickly established a philosophy that there was a difference in auctioneers and their ability to impact the outcome of the auction. From that beginning he moved forward in the profession forming Jerry Stichter Auctioneer, Inc. The organization today is composed of a time tested group of auctioneers and staff members who are dedicated to the success of your event. Jerry Stichter is still the lead auctioneer, an active professional who can assess your situation and map out the strategy to a successful conclusion in the fields of both real estate and personal property. With nearly 40 years of experience, and recently inducted into the Ohio Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame, January 2013, Jerry Stichter, Auctioneer and Jerry Stichter Auctioneer, Inc. continue to take pride in the total management process of each appraisal, auction or real estate transaction. Whether it has been in the field of evaluation, selling or buying, we appreciate the trust that past clients and patrons have place in us and look forward to helping others find the right answer for their needs.
